What would you spend all your money on if you had the choice? There are usually two things people seem to gravitate towards. The first one is buying memories and that could mean something like going on holiday. The only problem with this is that once your time is up you don’t have anything to show for it except the memories and maybe a few photographs.
The second thing people love to spend money on is their home. That is a great investment because you get to enjoy it for the rest of your life. People always enjoy making their home that little bit more attractive or comfortable. Dedicated laundry room
How many of you have your washing machine in the basement? For most people it seems an easy enough way to save space and to get it out of the road, but a lot of people are trying not to hide it away so they are making a dedicated laundry room. The reason for this is because people love to multitask and the thought of running down to the basement is horrible and a waste of time.
Outdoor living space
You can’t make additional rooms magically appear out of thin air with the exception of converting your garage, attic, or basement. Instead of adding an extension to the side of their home you will find people building an outdoor living space. This will be much cheaper than an actual room and people can still sit outside when it’s not freezing cold.
Walk-in closets
You don’t really appreciate how great a walk-in closet is until you have one yourself. They are definitely not something that is reserved for the rich and famous in case you’ve been watching too much Cribs. When you have a dedicated room to keep all your clothes it will make you feel great, but it’s also much easier to stay organized by having everything right in front of you.
Your own home office
Maybe the reason these are becoming so popular is because more and more people are working from home, but even if that doesn’t include you it’s still a great idea to have your own home office. Having all your electronics in one place keeps them neat and tidy, plus when you do have some random work to do it’s better doing it in an office instead of sitting on the couch with your laptop.
A breakfast bar
Everyone needs to eat something for breakfast otherwise you’re going to be hungry until lunch. Even if you choose to get by on coffee you still need to feed the kids. A breakfast bar is a great place for them to sit and eat it and they won’t have to sit with it on their knee in the living room. It also makes the place look great because it’s an attractive standalone feature.
