I bought this to replace a 2-1/2 yr. old Haier A/C which had failed. This unit is quieter, makes more cold air, and is energy star rated. It also has a remote control which acts as a remote temperature sensor. This means that the unit keeps the temperature much more constant. It also allows you to bring in outside air, or not, at your choice.
Overall I am extremely satisfied with this air conditioner.

If you're looking for a powerful A/C that fits in small windows, this is your product! We looked high and low for something that could cool down our home and still fit in a small casement window. Almost all of the larger units were too big and more expensive. This was it and the price is right. This is the fourth and best window A/C that I've owned.
There is almost no compressor noise in the room. Like all window A/Cs, fan noise is greater than a central unit; but, the fan noise of this unit is acceptable even though it is mounted within 6 feet of my favorite chair.
